I saw the movie today Black Friday (Miami) and it is exactly that...a dark psychological thriller. The gayish thing on this movie is purely accidental. We are in front of a very pathological character (Oliver) tied to a rich heir of British aristocracy (Felix). None of the two main characters, Oliver and Felix, keep any sexual intercourse in the movie. All is focused on wishes and desires. It is the real decadent world vs. the apparent tragedy of lower class people. The social barriers of decadent British aristocracy are impregnated of futility and drugs. In some ways this movie make me think in Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty (2013), Tom Ford's A single man (2008) and by far it is the opposite of James Ivory's Maurice (1987). I do not think any LGBTQ could feel any sympathy to be portrayed as a potential higher educated serial killer. This movie is a dark reflect of a very dysfunctional mind.
